The Schynige Platte Alpine Garden is twinned with an Alpine garden in Japan! While in Japan, former head of marketing and now CEO of Jungfrau Railways, Urs Kessler, made contact with Japan's largest Alpine garden, the Rokko Garden. A Japanese delegation stayed in Interlaken from 27 June to 3 July 2008 and the ceremonial twinning ceremony took place on 28 June 2008, complete with musical entertainment.
